A filmmaker that goes by the name Julian Marshall is trying to tell the story of Shepard Fairey’s OBEY. He is telling the story the same way David Fincher was trying to tell the story of Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network. He needs about $30,000 to continue the project because he ran out of funds in order to complete the film which is shot at the school, Rhode Island School of Design.

The official synopsis of OBEY THE GIANT tells the story of “a young skate punk challenging a big-city mayor and the powers-that-be at art school. Frustrated by his inability to gain respect within the confines of art school Shepard sets out to gain notoriety and acclaim by targeting the most powerful man in Providence, former Mayor Buddy Cianci.” With the film shot over the course of eight days in Providence, Marshall is looking for the artistic communities help to finish his passion project.
